Discover a World

In which two vastly different realities are compelled to converge

Intro

Two worlds that couldn't be more different, encounter.

Humans and demons must coexist on the same planet. Some driven by materialism and greed, others an ancient race of warriors seeking honor and recognition.

Since the beginning of time these two species have waged endless wars and it was time to make peace with each other. After so many years of death and suffering.Especially nowadays when the world seems to be getting faster and more difficult.

Because of this, demons and humans made a peace treaty and began to share their knowledge to make life easier for future generations.

Therefore, schools have been opened all over the world where both species can learn from each other.

Born into this era, a kind-hearted young human named Kagome strays into a world ruled by hatred, violence and profanity.

But maybe she isn't so lost in this new world that she is still trying to explore.

World Building

● The size difference between humans and demons is a chilling testament to their otherness. Human men, seen as tall at 190 cm (6'3"), seem insignificant when standing beside demons that tower nearly twice as high. Alpha demons reach a monstrous 3 meters (9'10"), casting oppressive shadows over anyone unfortunate enough to stand in their presence, while betas loom at 2.5 meters (8'2"). This vast disparity not only marks the boundary between their worlds but also serves as a grim reminder with every simple gesture - even passing through a doorway - of how alien and menacing demons can be for a human being.

● Demons live under the weight of "quid pro quo"; every favor is demanded, every debt repaid with partly cold and exact certainty. The value of a favor is often judged by the cold hierarchy of the demon clans or left to the instincts of the parties involved. However, a debt of life demands a relentless price: it is always repaid with blood. Whether it ends with a deadly blow or with a demon binding its existence in a pact, the payment is as inevitable as it is cruel.

● Some demons converse using words from long-forgotten times, their voices echoing from the ruins of bygone eras. Yet their language offers a glimpse into the eerie times and abandoned places that shaped their existence.

● Guided by primal instincts - desire, the wild thrill of the hunt, satisfying inner urges - demons move through the world with a raw, animalistic instinctiveness that sets them apart from the human masses.
● White albinos, such as those from Inuyasha's family, are a rarity - their genes are either coveted or despised. They are mercilessly forced into combat, their lives displayed as bloody trophies, a cruel honor among demons. As a result, these creatures – like half - demons, constantly hunted by their own kind – are forced to move silently in the shadows of their own species. They usually hide their true selves under fabric or paint, driven by the constant fear of being discovered. Because a second of carelessness could mean their doom.

● Demons exist solely to find an honorable death in battle. But until they discover their predestined companion, they roam the world restlessly. Only when they fulfill this destiny does their urge to fight fade, driven by the desire to form their own secluded pack - a different kind of equivalent to what humans call family.

● Their bodies possess an unnatural resilience that far exceeds human limits—to some, they are unyielding and cold to the touch, but to others, they are strangely attractive. Both males and females share this eerie trait. Their body temperature ranges between 40°C (104°F) and 42°C (107.6°F) and radiates an unsettling heat. In stark contrast, merfolk are characterized by an icy coldness, their temperature dropping to -30 °C (-22 °F), as if they had been touched by the darkness of the ocean abyss.

● Demons originally bear only a vague resemblance to humans - tails, claws, horns, and fangs characterize their appearance. Sometimes half of their body is inhuman in form, which unsettles and often frightens the other species.

● Most demons exist in two forms - one animal and one human - with each transformation accompanied by agony as bones and flesh contort into often monstrous shapes. Except in combat, they tend to choose the stronger variant, which is usually the animal-like form of a demon.

● Yet some of them keep their natural form and are proud of themselves for it.

● Polygamy is commonplace in the world of demons and is not considered unusual. In some clans, it is customary for three or more individuals to bond with each other - but these attempts often fail, so that ultimately only two souls remain bound to each other. For the one left behind, a descent into hopelessness begins, often leading to a tragic end.

● There are demons who feel inexplicably drawn to humans, fascinated by their apparent gentleness - an almost supernatural vulnerability. Meanwhile, rumors spread among humans, fueling a dark fascination with the legendary endurance of demons and stories about their pronounced genitals.

Nevertheless, a shadow of contempt hangs over the halls; generations hardened by the scars of ancient wars view the other race with deep mistrust, their contempt forged in the fire of memories of bloodshed and betrayal.

● Nevertheless, there are bonds that humans refer to as "love", even though this concept is foreign to demons, who never use this term.

● Demons, who are well versed in forbidden desires, have long since exhausted the perverse depths of lust and know exactly what lures them into darkness and what leaves them feeling empty inside. Their unfiltered language reveals twisted intentions and often leaves human partners frozen, unsettled by the raw expectations whispered in the shadows.

● Demonic sexuality is unrestrained - a game of raw desire and deep instinct. Human social barriers do not exist for them; taboos are foreign concepts. For demons, the only thing that matters is the boundless pursuit of pleasure, free from any thoughts of gender, categorization, or labels. Categories such as lesbian, gay, and any others exist only in the human species. Demonic relationships arise from unbridled longing and powerful longing – dangerous, intoxicating, and driven by the unbridled intoxication of their nature.

● The demons have carved their own path through the world of fashion and music, developing traditions that are far removed from the flowery nature of humans. Where human tastes are considered boring, demons shine in contrast—adorned with a multitude of piercings and tattoos whose colors reflect the garish tones of their origins. Designed by demonic artists from the sacred symbols or war paint of ancient clans, these designs pulsate with a beauty whose color is laced with poison – deadly to mortals who might covet them. Shiny spikes, golden chains, and imposing rings capture the darkness, while gemstones sparkle at the tips of claws, wind around twisted horns, or circle restless tails. Elusive trademarks such as the famous FOX emblem or the blood-red maple leaf whisper of a bond that is reserved solely for the flesh of demons.

● In this ancient world, two different races created their own currencies. Humans began with modest nickel coins, simple and practical. The demons, who ruled over lands rich in gold and glowing stones, traded these treasures as naturally as they breathed. When the empires collided, the value of gold and rubies skyrocketed almost overnight. The demons gradually adopted the humans' currency, and soon both societies were minting coins and printing the banknotes that are in circulation today. The demons' money - known as DD, Demon Dollars - became tattered and faded, ignored by its creators, while Human Dollars, or HD, multiplied incessantly and shone with new brilliance. Over time, the value of the demon currency dwindled, each tattered banknote becoming a relic, so that today 10 HD have the same value as 20 DD, a difference as great as night and day.
● Human nature offers little material for further stories. Although humans are physically weak compared to demons, they have been able to hold their own thanks to their sharp minds - but even this difference is evening out over time. What remains is their reassuring clarity; only they can penetrate the fog of instinct and act with cool calculation, a trait that earns them a place in glass towers as managers and scientists, from where they guide others from the background. Lacking demonic power and ancient gold, humans quietly harbor their ambitions, their hearts filled with envy for a glory that was never meant for them. They chase echoes, hoard riches, and crave recognition. But unlike demons, whose honor is forged in blood and immortalized through honorable death, humans recoil from ultimate darkness and never yearn for battle or the death that follows. They direct their longing elsewhere, seeking meaning in a world where weakness is despised.
● Standing in the shadows of the past, it is no wonder that young people flaunt riches and jewelry - ghostly echoes of their ancestors' relentless hunger. But such displays find little resonance in the western islands, where poverty clings to humans like a second skin. Thus, Kagome moves like an anomaly among the rich, marked by less glamorous origins and strange manners in a world accustomed to measuring people's worth in money.
● Humans clothing reflects their desire for order - clean lines, light ivory and gold tones that seem to glow in the eternal twilight. In contrast to the black and neon colors of the demons, humans cloak themselves in restraint, their suits perfectly pressed, each tie a symbol of quiet control. Even in their leisure time, older generations stick to starched shirts and tailored trousers, as if order could protect them from chaos.
● Nevertheless, there are those among humans who yearn for something different - a longing that drives them to break with tradition and embrace the dark fashion of demons. This borrowed style, marked by rebellion and desire, has crept into the city's back alleys. But in human territory, it is despised and even banished from the flickering lights of the bars. On the other hand, demon bars are impenetrable fortresses that only allow those cloaked in darkness to enter; any trace of human style is turned away at the door and left to freeze in the night.
● Blood flows like a precious current through the veins of this world. For demons, it is much more than a source of life - it intoxicates, heals, seduces. After the horrific wars, when humans and demons were forced to coexist in uneasy peace, blood became the most coveted commodity of all. Brave or desperate humans donated their blood willingly to save wounded demons. A thriving trade emerged in the shadows of the new society, while in return, demonic blood was discovered as a miraculous cure for mortals and fetched a high price. Despite all the laws now regulating the sale of human blood, the forbidden still claims its place: the blood of the innocent, the blood of virgins, remains a hunted treasure in the dark markets where greed and desire rule.
● Nowadays blood is considered a dangerous drug - a deadly intoxicant that some professions carry with them at all times in order to survive life-threatening situations. For others, however, the intoxicating liquid is a curse that is slowly ruining them. Penniless and exhausted, they drag themselves through the streets like lifeless shadows of their former selves, driven by an insatiable craving for just one more drop. These lost souls fill the dark, winding alleys of the demonic districts, places where a human alone would never survive – the risk of being swallowed up by the darkness forever is too great.
